Chemistry - Teacher

Mark RosengartenTeacher: Mark Rosengarten, Washingtonville High School

Mark Rosengarten is a somewhat unconventional human being who has chosen teaching chemistry as his life's calling. He graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1988 with a B.A. in Chemistry Education, then decided he hadn't had enough and went right back to get an M.S. in the same darned thing.

He has been teaching for the last 19 years at Washingtonville High School in Washingtonville, New York. He enjoys astronomy, storm chasing, geocaching (using GPS devices to find hidden treasures people have placed all over the world), hiking, biking, reading and helping all of you needful students through the Regents Exam.

Mr. Rosengarten teaches Regents and Honors Chemistry. He is also a voice actor, and has composed two CDs filled with original chemistry songs, entitled "Rock Me Avogadro" and "Schrodinger's Cat Strikes Back."
