Teacher: Tricia Castelli – Tappan Zee High School, Orangeburg
Tricia Castelli earned her B.A. in Italian and French at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York, and her Masters from Boston University, through its program in Rome Italy. Tricia been teaching Italian at Tappan Zee High School, where she is also the Foreign Language Department Team Leader.
Tricia lived in Italy for 10 years, where she taught at an International School in Rome, and subsequently worked for an Italian company. She returns to Italy, at least once a year with her family, and has led many student trips on tours to both Northern and Southern Italy. She just returned from a trip with 31 of her students, to Venice, Verona, Florence, Siena, Assisi, and Rome. Tricia has been named to “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” six times. She is presently working on her Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration at SUNY New Paltz.
